I create textures in Photoshop. "Create" is a relative term here I guess, since they already exist... Mostly I just scan some rough paper... Old rough paper is the best for this kind of stuff I think. Like the back of an old photo... Then you can experiment with defferent color paint on the paper. Or leave coffee stains, or use an ironing iron (????) to burn the paper. Check out your local book/paper/pencil/material store. They are bound to have some rough paper. If they don't they can surely get some. Different types of fabric also works. Anything flat with depth really.
And if you wonder about the paint splatter. That is just paint splatter on paper, and scanned. Hope this helps. toodeloo..

huh, i never would have thought! to bad my scanner isn't be best quality.... i assume that all the black in this piece is taken from photos and put where you want it.... wow, unless i get a tutor, i don't think i'll figure this out by myself.. AHH! anyway, i'm glad you can do it! keep up the good work.. i'm gonna go play around with photoshop now!
